The future of hyped sneaker drops probably has something to do with NFTs.
This one is simple: download the Confirmed app, give them your wallet and sign up for free, and you could win a tradeable NFT that can be redeemed for any Adidas drops for an entire year.
And don’t sweat it if you don’t win, we have a feeling we’ll be seeing these on-chain raffles a lot more in the near future.
Our Force 1 - Nike

Nike has been working on NFT tech since 2019 – you may not think about them this way, but they’re as OG as many of the cult favorite on-chain artists in the space.
And now they’re finally launching a genesis collection for SWOOSH, their new web3 platform that’s set to merge physical and digital fashion drops.
The Our Force 1 collection includes 106,456 digital sneakers, which might sound crazy until you realize that this is only 1/3 of their SWOOSH members.
AURAS by Jeremy Cowart
May 9
Artist Jeremy Cowart will be doing a live event this coming Sunday in Nashville, TN where he will somehow produce 10,000 unique NFTs in a span of 20 minutes without the use of generative code or AI.
The fruits of this work will be named “AURAS”, minting the following week on OpenSea (price TBD).
While I’m slightly concerned about high-supply art drops given the current market, the IRL entertainment here does pique my interest.
Sparkadia: Ascended Kana
May 11th
Sparkadia is an ecosystem of interconnected games made by a doxxed team that includes a lot of ex-Riot Games employees.
Their first game of the ecosystem, Sparkball, is described as “League of Legends meets Rocket League”, which does get my imagination going, but I’ll have to wait for their first early access in June.
To get a guaranteed entry into that early access you’ll need their upcoming “Ascended Kana” NFT skin, a free mint happening on Magic Eden.
Iskra Velitchkova - Tonic Drop

A gen-art collection from Iskra Valitchkova, the popular Madrid-based artist who previously found success on platforms like fxhash.
Sidenote: This is the follow-up to Tonic’s successful William Mapan drop in March, and also comes right after they raised a $5m seed round to build out their platform.
Another big drop would give them more street cred as an Art Blocks competitor.

A polished 3D collection from Jess Wiseman, an animator who has worked with Doja Cat, Lil Nas X, KSI and other notable celebs.
Think of these as classic digital collectibles; basically on-chain transformers. They’re clean, they’re creative, and they’ll have some lore behind them.

Very interesting on-chain art coming from one of the most well-known generative artists in the space.
Let’s see if I can TDLR it:
An audio-visual object gets “photographed” with a blockchain tx and then minted. The time between mints doubles each time, from seconds to, eventually, millenia. The resolution also increases with each mint, and at some point will reach a resolution that is impractical today (but possible in the future).

Japanese Contemporary Collection - Bright Moments

Bright Moments and Japanese art, name a better duo.
First, they launched generative and AI collections under Bright Moments Tokyo. Now comes the Japanese Contemporary Collection, which will feature 11 Japanese artists each minting 100 pieces.
The art reveal will take place at the Tokyo event in early May, and they’ve already started selling bits and pieces of the total mint pass supply.

SCROLL-BID-COLLECT by XCOPY x IWAN
A collaboration between professional drawing artist turned NFT creator IWAN, and iconic glitch artist XCOPY.
SCROLL-BID-COLLECT meshes the artists’ styles for an edition of 500 that will mint later today on Nifty Gateway for $250 (0.13 ETH at the time of writing).
When a big artist like XCOPY feels compelled enough to remix the work of an emerging one, I pay attention.
Sanctuary: Proof of Attendance Token
Dutch-Canadian artist Ryan Koopmans is releasing a free POAP next week for his Sanctuary interactive experience on Wildxyz. It will be mintable for 1 week.
The interactive experience accompanies the Sanctuary 1/1 piece that will be auctioned on the platform on May 3rd with a reserve price of 25 ETH. This release continues the artist's The Wild Within series which explores the relationship between nature and architecture.
The GRAPES
VIKER, a doxxed mobile game company that’s been around since 2019 and raised $4.1m in funding led by Animoca Brands, is launching a PFP called GRAPES.
The 5,555 supply collection mints next month. VIKER says they’ll reward holders with the company’s success, but the details on how those rewards will play out aren’t clear yet.
Dimensionals – EVE PFP
Mino Games is launching the second phase of their Dimensionals project EVE soon. It’ll be a 2,000 supply, free mint.
I missed telling you about the first phase, Genesis Dimensional Stones, which happened last month (mea culpa). Holders of these Genesis NFTs get a guaranteed mint spot for EVE. For everyone else, a public whitelist is now open for applications.
EVE is also the game’s first playable character, rewarding holders with early game access, exclusive in-game content and more.
One for the play-and-earn believooors amongst us.
