June's most anticipated drops

Zogz family airdrop

Snapshot June 1

Pepe creator Matt Furie has been busy this year. Most recently he set up a fun (but convoluted) collectible system where people were invited to mint a variety of different pepe characters.

Now these “common” pepe NFTs will be the keys to receive an upcoming rare airdrop. The snapshot for the ZOGZ family airdrop is on June 1st, and the cheapest entry today is buying a Dork Lord on OS for ~$30.

Then perhaps, after all of this mint and burn madness is complete, you’ll have reached a permanent inner tranquility, the voices in your head will subside, and you can put down your metamask for good.

SIGHTSEERS l PERIMETER TOWN by Norman Harman

June 2

Your favorite artist’s favorite artist Norman Harman is back with a follow-up to his original SIGHTSEERS.

This collection continues to showcase Harman’s signature AI glitch art, but sneak peeks hint at a more dystopian story this go-round.

The first 25 NFTs will be auctioned starting at 0.25 ETH, then another 225 NFTs will be sold to a WL for 0.25 ETH, followed by a public mint for any remaining pieces.

Starbucks Odyssey Airdrop Stamp

June 7

The Starbucks NFT ecosystem continues to build quietly. We’re now starting to see free airdrops for holders, which could quickly begin stacking value for the most loyal collectors.

The requirements for this drop are:

  1. Holding at least one Stamp NFT

  2. Completing at least two in-app “journeys”

Glacier Dreams by Refik Anadol

Mid-June

Refik Anadol is hot right now. There just aren’t many NFT artists getting more love from trad collectors at the moment - especially in AI art.

His Glacier Dreams exhibit made an appearance at Art Dubai recently and will show at Art Basel in June.

Then it’ll launch as an upcoming collection of 273 NFTs which should get a lot of attention, although we’re still waiting to hear what the price will be.

World Flag by John Gerrard

June 21

Crypto art is having a moment, and here you have one of the most popular crypto artists around.

This one is another Art Blocks X Pace Gallery collaboration. The last time these three got together, they launched the successful Petro National collection.

World Flag will have the same supply of 195 NFTs, although price is still TBD. This drop seems to expand on the themes of his previous work, which we do enjoy.

Ether

June 30

The most anticipated drop of the month. Ether is an anime PFP collection that’s been in the making for over a year.

There’s a lot of mystery surrounding the project, but we expect to see more info in the coming weeks, including a trailer that the team spent $400,000 developing.

We’re still really iffy on the 1 ETH public mint price, but it’s possible they reduce it prior to mint. As we said in an earlier preview:

“For now, Ether is like the Schrodinger's cat of our mint list. It’s simultaneously in and out of the top 10, depending on what's inside the box.”

Pluto

June

The first incubated project by Magic Batch Collective, backed directly by Polygon.

Pluto focuses on bringing social experiences to web3, with an economy designed to reward these kinds of interactions.

With the release tentatively scheduled for June, we have already started to see some art sneak peeks and should be hearing more about their plans in the coming weeks.

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Kate Vass Gallery

June – July

The highly regarded Kate Vass Gallery has been showcasing blockchain art since 2017.

For their latest series, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, the gallery asked 7 artists to explore the relationship between AI and humans. These releases will use the gallery’s 0KAI technology, allowing innovative on-chain integration of long-form AI art.

We covered the first collection in this series yesterday, but there are more releases in June and July that could pique the interest of collectooors.

NOTE: These drops are lightly curated. Our only requirement is that they have recognizable founders. As usual, DYOR. To learn more go here.

KilroyPunk by Eric Elms & foobar

Web3 founder @0xfoobar has teamed up with Los Angeles-based artist Eric Elms for this 48-hour open edition that started today at 12 PM ET.

KilroyPunk combines foobar’s CryptoPunk with Elms’s rendition of the WWII-era meme Kilroy, merging street and digital culture for Elms’s first foray into web3.

The work is minting for $15 per piece (approx. 0.007 ETH) on the multi-chain platform Holograph.

Avril 15 Season 3

Avril15, an NFT art studio founded by illustrator Tim McDonagh, recently unveiled their Season 3 launch for this June, which should include a total of 350 pieces minting for 0.15 ETH each.

This announcement follows the success of seasons 1 and 2, demonstrating that there’s an active collector base for the brand.

Fans should look out for more art sneak peeks coming this week.

Moon Phases by Jeff Koons

Pace Gallery has teamed up with iconic contemporary artist Jeff Koons for an interstellar release, Moon Phases.

Scheduled for release in Q3, the collection includes 125 unique works, each consisting of 3 components:

  1. A sculpture that will be installed on the Moon forever
