The first of many

in case you missed it
we're dropping something soon and this is the twitter
study being one of the first 1,000 followers

This AI NFT reads all your mean tweets
Ah yes, NFTs that change based on real-life events.
It’s been the dream since I started in this space, but has never really caught on outside of a few one-offs here and there.
However, this collab by Verse and Distributed Gallery might be the most ambitious effort we’ve seen so far, with over 12 artists dropping collections in the next year.
The series is called [aside eth], and it's described as a “protocol that enables the immobilization of any NFT on the Ethereum blockchain and conditions its release to external phenomena, whether natural, astral, economic, financial, demographic or social.”
In other words, the NFTs remain non-transferable until a specific external event occurs — anything from election results, the price of Bitcoin, how many miles you run per week, or whether Kendrick drops a new diss track.
The first of these is dropping later this month:
AI Index by Obvious and Ivona Tau
Mint date: May 27
Supply: 100 Ethereum NFTs
Price: TBD
Here’s how this one works:
100 non-transferable AI NFTs
They unlock (using Chainlink) based on people’s sentiments over AI
This is done by automatically tracking hashtags on X
Different segments of the supply unlock at various fear/trust levels (as seen above)
All the nerdy details behind the methodology can be found here.

CityVerse Tycoon
If the crypto trading game is too stressful for you, why not try your hand at the classics… Monopoly, perhaps?
That’s basically CityVerse Tycoon, featuring NFT buildings and real crypto at stake (check it out on browser here). It’ll have its genesis mint this month, other mint details TBD.
Although it’s not my cup of tea (not much of a mobile gamer), it is built by a doxxed team with experience at large mobile gaming companies. Plus, there’s definitely a market here, as proven by their 100k+ installs in the past year.
“GO TO JAIL. DO NOT COLLECT $200” has never felt quite so tilting.

Oh, what’s that? You were looking for a new frog PFP? I gotchu.
Here’s an upcoming collaboration between pseudonymous artists Absolutely Wrong and Asanology minting soon on Base.
In it, you’ll find irreverent amphibians doing God knows what, crypto culture references, and what seems like an inescapable XCOPY influence.
Affordable frog memes. They never seem to go out of style.
