O Dearly Beloved, you know what they say: new month, new opportunities (unless you’re the founder of a prominent crypto exchange who’s just been sentenced to 4 months in prison).

So let’s kick off the month with two new drops.

Disobedients by Patrick Amadon

  • Mint Date: Today at 3 PM ET (public phase tomorrow)

  • Supply: 400

  • Mint Price: 0.25 ETH / 6 SOL / 0.3 BTC / 750 ARB

Patrick Amadon is an innovative glitch artist that we last covered at length when he collabed with Transient Labs to create Doppelgänger, an NFT that contains an ever-increasing number of images and allows holders to choose the one they like best at a click’s notice.

Now the Amadon + Transient duo is back with Disobedients, a drop of 400 PFP-styled hooded characters mixing glitch and graffiti art, which will mint simultaneously on 5 different chains (Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, Base, and Arbitrum).

So it’s not on every chain (I’ll take the lashings for the clickbait crime) but definitely the most popular ones.

Dropping on all of these chains at the same time is basically saying “the future is multichain”. It’s a stance I share, and something we’ve been seeing more of this year.

Disobedients might not be innovating in a technical sense (no brand new token standard this time), but it’s doing so socially, and it’ll be interesting to see how each chain’s market reacts to NFTs in the same collection.

FUN by Parker Day

  • Mint Date: TBD

  • Supply: 1,000

  • Mint Price: TBD

No, the above image is not AI-generated. What you’re seeing is Casey Rodarmor, founder of the Bitcoin Ordinals protocol, pictured in retro cosplay glory.

It’s one of the pieces in FUN!, an upcoming Ordinals collection by photographer Parker Day, which features fully saturated film shots of over 100 different models cosplaying some wild characters like a sassy pig cowboy and a depressed lizard man wearing a safety headset.

Perhaps even more interesting, the collection is inscribed as one of only three “children inscriptions” from his Inscription #0, one of the most valuable digital artifacts in existence.

So not only is it the first “official” Casey photo on Bitcoin, but it’s also tied to the very first genesis inscription that started it all. Basically crack cocaine for provenance maxis.

Still missing price details, but…
